Creative Writing Workshop

Want to get into creative writing or meet others who share a similar passion?

This beginner-friendly writing workshop with Debs Torr is all about unlocking ideas and finding inspiration from the world around you ✍️

You’ll explore how stories, art and everyday life can spark creativity, and leave with a notebook full of ideas to develop in your own time. Whether you’re new to writing or just feeling stuck, this is a supportive space to get inspired and meet others who love words too.

This is a low-cost, alcohol-free event designed to help you meet new people and settle into university life. Come solo or bring a friend - everyone’s welcome.

About the facilitator:

Debs Torr (she/her) is a published short story writer and creative writing workshop facilitator based in Bristol. Her work has appeared in Dahlia Books, Reflex Press, Ellipsis Zine, Fictive Dream and more. She was named one of the London Library’s Emerging Writers in 2019 and is currently working on her debut novel with support from Arts Council England. Or, follow her on Instagram!
