Current Winners
🌟 Congratulations to our current winners Bristol University Sailing Club 🌟
- Outstanding national performance: Both 1st and 2nd teams reached BUCS Finals after qualifying through earlier rounds, beating 46 teams to get there! Bristol Black won an incredible 9/12 races and finished 4th in the UK. Secured a decisive quarter-final win vs Southampton Red in two races and pushed a close, high-quality semi-final against Exeter Blue after training alongside them all year.
- Charity Fundraising: Collaborated with Snowsports to raise money for Andrew Simpson Foundation which seeks to transform lives through watersports and sailing
- Champions on and off the water: Alongside competitive success (including 16 BUCS points), the club won the University Sailing Sustainability Challenge, delivering impactful initiatives and earning a £400 voucher + Olympic sailor training day to boost accessibility and development

What are the nomination criteria?
Nominations must be for an event or activity that:
- Is run by a Bristol SU affiliated Student Group
- Has happened in the last month
- Has made a significant impact on members or the wider community
- Aligns with Bristol SU values (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion / Wellbeing / Community / Sustainability / Fun)
Who can nominate a group?
Nominations can be made by anyone who is proud of the achievements the group has made in the past month. This could be a committee member, group member, a supporter or even a partner the group collaborates with.
