About Us

Welcome to the University of Bristol Table Tennis Club!

Whether you're picking up a bat for the first time or have years of competitive experience, there's a place for you at the University of Bristol Table Tennis Club.

We're a friendly and inclusive club that welcomes players of all abilities. Throughout the year we run regular social sessions, coached training, and competitive BUCS fixtures, alongside a packed calendar of socials and club events.

For those looking to compete, we have three BUCS teams (Men's 1s, Men's 2s, and Women's 1s) playing in the Western Division 1 leagues. If you're simply looking to play for fun, our social sessions provide a relaxed environment to improve your game, meet new people, and enjoy table tennis.

Follow our Instagram and join our WhatsApp Community to stay up to date with socials, sessions, and fixtures. We look forward to welcoming you to the club!

Thinking of joining the club? Our Give It A Go sessions are free taster sessions, giving you the chance to try table tennis in a fun and relaxed environment.

No experience or equipment is needed - just come along, have a hit, and meet some of our members.

We have three sessions available, all taking place in the Carpenter Room in the Richmond Building:

Come along to whichever session suits you best - we’d love to see you there!

Team Trials

Want to represent the university in BUCS? Team Trials are your opportunity to earn a place in one of our three teams: Men's 1s, Men's 2s, or Women's 1s.

We only hold one set of trials each academic year, so this is your only chance to be considered for a team:

  • Wednesday 30th September
  • 13:00-17:00
  • Carpenter Room, Richmond Building

What to bring:

  • Indoor trainers suitable for playing table tennis
  • Sports clothing - please do not wear white shirts, as these can make it difficult to see the ball
  • Your own table tennis bat

Please complete this form if you would like to trial for the team.

If you cannot attend trials, please contact us ASAP!
