Thursday 29-09-2022 - 17:24

Our thoughts are with any of our students who have been affected by the civil unrest taking place in Iran and we stand in solidarity with those who are facing oppression.

We are working closely with the University and Global Lounge to ensure that any students affected receive the help and support that they need.

Global Lounge will be hosting a Tea and a chat drop in event on Friday 30 September, 2-3pm, for all students and staff affected by the civil unrest. The session will take place on the first floor of Senate House and Global Lounge’s friendly team will be in attendance offering advice and support.

You can find out more information about the event here: https://global-lounge.bristol.ac.uk/event/tea-and-a-chat/

There are also a range of support services are available to students, including:

Our officer team have been made aware of cases of harassment directed towards individuals in relation to the unrest in Iran, this is deeply concerning and we discourage harassment and discrimination of any kind.

If you have any concerns that you would like to raise with Bristol SU, please contact our officer team.
