Housing Launch: How will it work?

This Lettings House Drop will offer a range of available accommodation in Bristol, hopefully making your life easier when it comes to the all-important house hunt! But how will it work?
How and when can I get a property?
The latest release of houses will start from Wednesday 25 January at 08:30. Make sure you are registered on the Bristol SU Lettings website prior to 25 January! This will ensure you are able to sign up for alerts and be notified via email if a suitable property for you comes up.
The Lettings team will be listing properties in batches most days for at least a week after the drop, and then ad hock thereafter. New accommodation is expected to come up right until the summer, so keep an eye out – those that are available will continue to be put on the SU Lettings website and you can continue to get alerts for these if you are registered.
Where will the properties be listed and how long for?
Bristol SU Lettings will be listing properties on their website. They will also be listing properties on Rightmove so, should you encounter trouble trying to view the SU Lettings website, you can still view available properties elsewhere.
You don’t need to come and see the team in person, you can see everything online and then give them a call or email when you see a property that you like.
When should I contact Bristol SU Lettings?
From 8:30 onwards on the 25 January, you will be able to see what houses have been listed by Bristol SU Lettings and decide what properties you like. It is important to make this choice before contacting the lettings team.
Once your decision has been made you will be able to either call the team or go in and speak to them in person to discuss your chosen property. However, you do not have to go into the Lettings office to secure a property!
If you decide you would like to go and speak to the team in person, please note that Bristol SU Lettings at Tyndall Avenue will not open until 09:00 – but the drop starts online at 08:30.

Can I book a house without viewing it?
Before you can sign for a house, and therefore secure it, you will have to view the property. Bristol SU Lettings now have in-person viewings back, so you will be able to check that the property is perfect for you!
Does the SU hold back the best houses?
The SU does not keep back the best houses. Our Lettings Team release property in December and January, for which we keep houses – but these are just all the houses that are ready by that point. Current tenants need to have decided if they are staying or going, and landlords must return all the correct paperwork.
