Welcome to the Academic Research Society (ResSoc)
ResSoc is Bristol’s space for students who want to push ideas further. It’s where curiosity turns into real research and collaboration
We’re rethinking what research means at university. It’s hands-on, open to everyone, and built around learning that actually leads somewhere.
❓ What We Do
We run workshops on research skills, writing and postgraduate applications that help you learn by doing. Our projects link to real-world issues in areas like development, health and AI. This term, we’re also working with ChatAndBuild and EBSU Nigeria, and launching an event on activism and methodology.
If you’re curious and want to build something meaningful, this is where you start. ResSoc is a space for ideas that matter and people who care about making them happen.
Let’s get to work.
ResSoc members get free or discounted entry to all ResSoc events, as well as earlybird ticket sales. Most importantly, membership is £6, so don't hesitate in joining up!
*The Activity Hardship Fund (SU Grant) will subsidise this membership fee for select students so make sure to apply - You can join by clicking the 'Join This Group' button on the top/bottom of this webpage.*
