71 Student Groups Strike Gold in Accreditation 2025!
This year, a record-breaking 71 Student Groups have been awarded Gold Accreditation from Bristol SU. Smashing last year’s total of 53 and proving just how incredible our student community really is!
A huge shout-out goes to four standout groups who didn’t just achieve Gold, but completed every single one of the 20 available accreditation points:
- Bristol Jets Cheerleading Squad
- A Cappella Society
- Bristol Law Club
- Hindu Society

What is Group Accreditation?
Bristol SU Group Accreditation celebrates Student Groups that go above and beyond to give their members a brilliant experience. The scheme helps groups build on what they’re already great at, while giving a nudge of support in areas that might need a boost.
Why does it matter for student groups?
Getting accredited tells your current and future members that you care! It tells them that you are running your student group in the right way and that your group is here to give students a brilliant time while at Uni.
So, what does Gold get you?
It’s more than just the bragging rights. Gold-accredited groups can unlock a bunch of benefits like:
- A digital kitemark on your SU group webpage
- A Rosette on your Welcome Fair stall (so you really stand out!)
- Special shout-outs during Welcome and Refreshers campaigns
- Promotion on digital screens across campus
- Extra award season recognition
- Priority consideration for big events in the Anson Rooms (2024/25)
