SolidariTee x EFM: Karaoke Fundraiser

As we conclude for TB-2, with many deadlines over we invite you to come along to our ticketed karaoke fundraiser. Solidaritee is a student-led charity which supports NGOs in providing legal aid and mental health support for refugees.

This event is open to all members of the SU, not membership required. The venue is booked from 6-9pm and will be a casual event with free karaoke so get ready to sing your heart out, whether you are coming to support the cause or going out later. If you wish, you can also make an additional donation to SolidariTee through their webpage.

SolidariTee is a charity led by students and young people, aiming to tackle injustices faced by refugees globally, working to create a community supportive of those forced to flee their homes.

Currently, they have given over £400,000 to grassroots NGOs that provide legal and psychological support to those who need it. Their grassroot approach means they can provide support that will make meaningful change to empower refugees.

As they are volunteer run, virtually all of funds raised go to the cause. They are always looking to take on more individuals passionate about ensuring the rights of refugees.

They also sell custom-made t-shirts, with artists who are directly affected or have a background relating to forced migration, which provide funds whilst acting as a show of solidarity.

Education is an important aspect of their work, with awareness-raising events and outreach aimed to breakdown perpetuated stereotypes harmfil to refugees alongdside providing clear, up-to-date information about global refugee issues.

Want to support their work? Make sure to buy a ticket to this and those organised by other student groups. Check out @solidariteebristol on instagram!
