You’ve probably seen and heard by now that it’s Elections. How could you have missed it?

It’s now the final day that you’re able to vote and have your say. So, if you haven’t voted already maybe you’re looking for some reasons as to why you should today.

Amazing candidates are awaiting your votes – so that they can make a positive difference to your university experience.

Here are some reasons why you should vote, you have until 9 pm tonight…

It only takes five minutes⏰

Considering how important elections are, voting couldn’t be easier.

You can come down to our polling booths to vote, vote between lectures, vote as procrastination, or even vote from the comfort of your own home. There is no particular place that you need to vote – wherever you do it, it will have a significant impact on your academic experience.

Voting is all online and only takes 5 minutes –a short amount of time considering it will influence the decisions made by elected candidates for an academic year.

Voting is a great way to get your voice heard📢

Voting in the SU Elections is one of the best ways to make sure we and Bristol University hear your voice. The Full Time Officers are in regular conversations with the university to improve the student experience and create positive action in line with their manifestos. It’s important to choose the person whose values align with you. Who will create the change you want to see, for the communities you care about?

To campaign for change🌱

Your vote helps to campaign for positive change on campus. Your Full-time officers play a key part in shaping policies, campaigns, and events that enhance your academic and social experiences during university. By actively voting and participating in the election process, you are choosing who represents you, and creating change.

To get the candidate you want 🤔

The candidates you are voting for will be representing you and your views to the university for the next year. That’s pretty important, so you should vote for a candidate whose policies you agree with. What each candidate stands for and what they plan to do, which will affect your university experience, is outlined in their manifesto.
