Description

At UBWRFC, we pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming, and supportive team for girls from any sporting background. We promise a thorough introduction to women's rugby for new players, a great time on and off the pitch with a wide variety of socials, and plenty of opportunities to volunteer and coach.

We are proud to be one of the University of Bristol's Performance clubs, which allows us to take advantage of all the support the university has to offer, including specialised strength and conditioning training. With teams ranging from development to our first team, there is room for different experiences within the club. Established links for both 1XV and 2XV teams with clubs in the local community allows players to gain more match experience if desired. Along with an exciting new partnership for our development/social squad with a local club, providing more game time and access to excellent coaches.

We are supported by Bristol SU

Who Can Join & Our Equality Statement

UBWRFC welcomes ALL female and non-binary identifying Bristol students who are committed to always creating a safe and inclusive environment. We will take a stance against discrimination in all its forms, therefore making activities at Bristol fun and open for all.

UBWFRC is devoted to creating and sustaining a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all Bristol students who are involved and interact with our club. It is our policy to treat everyone as equal individuals, irrespective of ethnicity, sexual orientation, nationality, religion or belief, or any other unfair distinction. With our firm stance against discrimination, we make activities at Bristol enjoyable and accessible to all.

UBWRFC prides itself on offering equal opportunity to all its members. Rugby does not discriminate against, but rather encourages people of varying build, strength, speed, and agility. Therefore, by demonstrating our commitment to equality and diversity throughout our club, we want UBWFRC to be a welcoming environment to all individuals whether the individual strives to be a social player or a performance player.
