Join Bristol SU for S.H.A.G (Sexual Health and Guidance) Week 2025!
A fun, stigma-free opportunity for students to talk about all things sex, relationships, and wellbeing. From myth-busting to STI testing, let’s get real about sex education together.
Brought to you by Lucy Pears, your Student Living Officer, and Linlu Ye, your Equality, Liberation and Access Officer, this week is all about empowering safe sex and bridging the gaps that sex education in schools left.
When asked what students should expect from the week, Linlu said, “S.H.A.G Week is about promoting open, inclusive, and stigma-free discussions about sexual health, relationships, and wellbeing. It’s about empowering safe sex, celebrating LGBTQ+ identities, and most importantly – having fun!”
“No matter what level of sex education you’ve had before, we hope this campaign helps you feel more comfortable with the topic and enjoy the events throughout the week.”
Lucy, your Student Living Officer explained that, “No two students have had the same sex education (if any at all!), and S.H.A.G Week is a great way to get on the same page.”
“Whether you come along to an event or engage with us online, we hope you can add some positive S.H.A.G experiences to your life – as well as having fun and getting stuck in. Linlu and I are really looking forward to it!”
