Located at the back of Bristol SU’s Living Room 2, the sensory room is designed for students who need a dedicated space to focus on or engage with their senses, escape from the stresses of the day, or just relax, in an accessible, controlled and either more or less over-stimulating environment. You can request access to the sensory room by completing this form.
The room benefits from many features, including a variety of controllable lights with different settings, a bubble tube, a projector with a variety of calming slides, controllable effects on ceiling tiles and interactive sound features. The Sensory Room also has soft seating, weighted blankets and black out blinds.
The Bristol SU Living Room is on the 4th floor of Senate House. Step free access is available at each entrance. Once inside the building there are lifts which service all floors. There are doors around the building which have to be opened manually. Accessible toilets are available on the Lower Ground, Ground, First, Third, and Fifth floors. Gender neutral toilets are available on the First and Fourth floors.
We welcome event and space attendees who need to bring medicines, food, or drink to manage a medical condition, or medical equipment. Please email us on bristolsu-events@bristol.ac.uk or speak to a member of staff on arrival if you have any questions or concerns.
