We are a free, impartial advice service for University of Bristol Students. We specialise in academic advice such as appeals, extenuating circumstances and changing course, but you can talk to us about anything.

There are many ways we offer support:

Online: Fill in our Online Enquiry Form or email us on bristolsu-justask@bristol.ac.uk. We can also arrange Video Calls if suitable.

Drop in: We are based on 3rd floor of the Richmond Building on Queens Road in the Student Union Offices.

Our opening hours 10am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.

The Team

Emma joined the team in June 2016 as Team Leader. Among other things, Emma is responsible for managing the team, developing the service and building key relationships with Student groups and University Staff.

Amy is one of our advisers. She joined the team in June 2017. She works Thursdays and Fridays.

Amy is here to help students with issues related to their studies. She can talk to students about appeals, extenuating circumstances, plagiarism and more. 

Nicky is one of our advisers. She joined the team in May 2015, and has recently returned from sabbatical. She works on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Nicky can advise students on all types of academic issues, and is happy to talk through any concerns that students may have.



Anne is one of our advisers. She joined the team in February 2018. She works on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Anne is here to help students with any academic issues they face during their time at University of Bristol. She can also advise on complaints and disciplinary matters.
